UCSF is pleased to make HSF-1 and HSF-6 available to investigators at
non-profit institutions for non-commercial research purposes.
To request the HSF-1 or HSF-6 cell line:
- Print two copies of the Material Transfer Agreement that is
available as a pdf document from the link below.
- Both copies must be signed by the recipient investigator and an authorized
representative of your institution, likely someone in your institution's

authorized representative of your institution has signed it.
Please note that the MTA has been drafted in collaboration with and has been
approved by the University of Wisconsin, the NIH, and UCSF's exclusive commercial
licensee of the cell line, Geron Corporation, and as such it is absolutely
non-negotiable.
- Both copies of the MTA, along with a check or purchase order for $5,000*
made out to "The Regents of the University of California", should be sent to
the following address:
UCSF Office of Technology Management
* Note new address *
185 Berry Street, Suite 4603
San Francisco, CA 94107
Attention: ES Cell MTA Coordinator
* The fee is solely to reimburse UCSF for preparation and distribution costs.
Once your executed Material Transfer Agreement and payment have been received,
you will be placed on a list to receive the cells. Requests will be filled in
